Hi all, after I saw this configuration somewhere on internet, I want to ask for posible benefits of this configuration. For me it looks interesting and easy to do and should be more efficient then stock with ok air to air intercooler and ducting opening under stock mount water radiator. What is your opinion on this setup? Car is FC3S s5 turboII, also i do have aftermarket bonnet with hole behind radiator and Koyo alu rad

Hi there, the idea of the V mount is so that the cooler air coming into the front of the car either goes to the radiator or the intercooler, with the setup you have there air will go through the radiator, heated up and then go through the intercooler, plus in traffic you will have an issue with heatsoak on the intercooler as its sitting on a nice hot radiator lol

What turbo are you running? if its a standard turbo and uprated TMIC will be good for reduced lag like on my FC.

I have standart S5 turbo and more lag is not a problem, since I´m using it mainly on circuits and touge driving and minimum in town driving. I thing heatsoak will be much less than on the engine. And also i do have FRP foresight bonnet which doesent have opening for SMIC, first i was thinking about making V-mout, but that will be alot of work, so than FMIC and than I saw this.
Also ducting opening will be under water radiator to allow more fresh air to intercoller while driving
