Hi all :Thumbs-up
I am new to rotary cars and bought myself a UK spec RX7 Gen 3 with twin turbos :mmmm (Also own a SLK :Giggle). It wont be my everyday car but the odd weekend and club get togethers. It will be dry stored at my company.
Can I have an idea on which clubs I should be a member of please? I live in Horton near Slough/Windsor and travel to work near Reading, Berks every day. I look forward to making new friends and meeting other fans to :Talking1 about RX7s and RX8s!
Cheers Gavin

Mrc (this club) is good for rotary events. FDUk.org is specific to the 3rd generation rx7. Thats all you need really. Is that your road legal plate on the RX7? Nice looking Rx7. The UK specs are getting ultra rare. The SLK is not too bad either.

Theres a reading jap meet every month just up the road from where that picture was taken. There are a fair few fd\'s in reading.
Dave at thames valley mot\'s might be worth having a chat to, he always seems to be involved in some sport of meet!

and to answer the poll, none of the above. The jap spec cars came with flares and less rust!

welcome to the club!

Thanks guys, very useful info for me.

Vote question is shown in the blue border white text at top of the options, it is: \'Whats the best type of RX7 to own?\'.

My RX7 is in excellent condition and fortunately has been well looked after both here in UK and sunny Spain. It has been stored most of its life and again in a dry warehouse for the last two years near Reading. In January I will arrange for the original K reg plates to be put back on before taking it out for a spin (literally in the snow!). Actually I will properly get some new winter tyres put on like what I have on my SLK (Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 front, Goodyear Ultra Performance 2 rears).

Cor I wish I owned such a number plate! I hear the owner of a BMW who has the real RX7 number plate on it wants to sell it. Anyone knows how much he wants for it or who the owner is?

I look forward to next year...

I drove my car for the first time yesterday on the M4. Wow, it was quick! Ok ok I am not admitting I broke the 70mph speed limit! I obeyed the lawwwww. The car was on spanish plates but since dvla gave the thumbs up on thurs its back on the original K reg. Insurance was low at £302 fully comp. I decided to keep the car at home, that way I can take it for a spin when I want and meet other local rx7 owners. Winter is here and I am unsure about the current tyres so maybe I should get some cheap winter tyres.
