mrrobnorcross

hi all, just thought i would introduce myself,

i live in cornwall near helston to be exact, i have a passion for rotarys and have always wanted to own one, now is the right time  :)

i have just sold my daily driver aristo v300 twin turbo and bought a cheap run around so i can save up for a few months before purchusing my dream car (rx7), i have owned a few imports in the past 300 hp 200sx and a galant as my first car i am 22.

i have done quite abit of research on rotarys and i will be looking for a good spec one in the new year :driving

would be great to meet a few local people and get to know people on the forum.

thanks :WaveBye

Welcome to Mazdarotaryclub,

When the time comes to buy have a good look around the for sale sections and or companys selling cars on the links above that support MRC, also we have many good members that should be able to answer any questions you may have :Thumbsup!
All the best Clive

I did wonder if we had met befor, yes alan\'s mate :)

There is a local garage, brooklands garage in truro, very knowledgable guy guy called phil, propper old school mazda trained etc,

Not so much into tuning the turbo cars from what i can gather but give them something more older on carbs and your away(as a hobby/interest more than what the garage does day to day-but still very helpfull and will talk all day about the older rx2/3/4/ etc) and will go out their way to help you out:)

There used to be a silver fd down hayle way,
There is a silver one kicking around truro seen on st georges road a couple of times,
A black one in Redruth, who i met a few years ago now, but he was loosing intrest a bit at the time and i\'ve not seen him about since,
And another black one i\'ve found, nice standard 96 rs with a load of mazdaspeed goodies, unfortunatly abandond in woodland, which im trying to rescue!

If you wanna look around one or need any bits i\'ve been hording for quite a few years, just ask :)

Sorry mate i\'ve just seen this you cant pm you need to be a member.

Your about the 4th person to ask me about the engine since it sold at the beginning of the month!
Buy a dead car can be a good idea, all depend on your mechanical skill and patience/space/tools
Im happy to help you out to if you need it :)

no worries mate ahhh gutted! thats cool, i work for vospers of penzance now so i have all the equipment and tools i will ever need but my mechanical skills are useless and the mechanics are not fans of rotaries lol typical!
