Of course if i had done a search before posting i would have got the information required

Toad Ai606 or clifford concept 500 for me then...

I have a Clifford concept 600 it comes with dual proximity and glass tampering standard on it These can be adjusted (for sensitivity) via the key fob., you can also get a paging system where it pages you if your alarm is going off.

I would defiantly get a tracker fitted as well.

One of my mates is an Autoelectrian who installs Thatcham Cat 1\'s, his view is simple!
A Cat 1 alarm is the same as another other, they all do exactly the same job, it just depends on how many extra\'s/functions you want it to do.
Cliffords are renound for being the best, but thats probably due to the amount of features they have.
In reality, an alarm is merely a detterent, if they want your car, they will have it, alarm or not, most good car thieves would not even worry about an alarm, according to my mate,  thats why trackers are so usefull.

I got a Clifford Concept 300 thats been fine.  Could do with adjusting so the rain doesnt set it off, bit better be safe than sorry I spose! ;)  As said, most Thatcham 1s are as good as each other.  But some insurance companies (tho not many) want the market leader to be fitted to your car, i.e. clifford/toad.  Besy thing I found was the Avital from Sextons.  The same as a Clifford Concept 300 on the whole (sister company to) but didnt have the option of a turbo timer which is another problem with a load of Thatcham 1 alarms actually.  Rather than get a tracker, I simply got a Snap Off Steering Wheel BOSS.  Â£100, no annual fee and little chance anyone can drive it away!  Towing away could be a problem I guess.

hey shaq,

just a question on your clifford 600, as i have one too, how the hell do you adjust the sensitivity for the dual zone proxy?? i can only adjust the interior, but the external sensor just dont work at all, how do i make this more sensitive as i have not been taught by them idiots at Gap Security!!
o and the tilt and motion sensor if you know please!!:(

good question, Usually i get my friend to do it he is in the industry, but you have to do it via the main master key fob I can find out for you……

do you know where the dual proxy is located because on some of them there is a adjustable screw on it.

hey shaq

yea i do know where the sensor is located as i have relocated it myself coz them pr**ks wont come out ant do something like that for me, but i am still in the 1 year garauntee!!

anyway, the sensor seems to be the 2 in 1 type, where the interior and exterior sensing is done by the same one, and there is no screw on it to adjust it, correct me if i am wrong but the ones with a screw are for the single zone sensors fitted on the concept 300\'s as i have seen this on a mates car when we were taking his car apart,

shaq, could you please find out for me as at the moment i feel as though i only have a concept 300, coz th exterior sensor just dont pick anything up, i have been told before that level shift 3 times and button 4 (or was it 2) is supposed to be the menu feature for it, but it seems it only increases the sensor of interior, and the alarm going off after i step away from it a few yards,

cheers mate,
