Hi i have joined the forum as i am looking at getting my first rex soon, i sold my supra TT last year and bought an Aprilia Rsvr instead but i am getting bored of the bike and am wanting another car.

I have always loved the shape of the rex, coupled with the handling and the sound of the engine i can\'t wait to get one. I am in no rush and am going to be researching them as much as i can before i find the right one, and i need to sell the bike lol.

Thanks Jon

Thanks for the welcomes, yeah i have been having a good search of the archives and looking at people builds to see what is what with them, up to now it looks like the worst thing that could happen would be an engine rebuild.

Benedunn

which rex? haha 7? 8? and well yes engine rebuilds are about as bed as things can get would you believe :Laugh i luuuurrrrrvvvvvveeeeee the rotary as do most of us on here but no1 is denying that the engines arnt quite bullet proof :( the rest of the car tho - particulaly on the 8 (not sure about the 7 myself yet) you can count the week points on 1 hand :King

oh and welcome :wave
rex 192 b black: red and black interior, chrome mazda alloys, full mazda aero kit (inc spoiler) n do i love it

Welcome and all that. Bored of a Priller V4 ? That\'s an awesome bike :Thumbs-up

Good choice of car to replace it with though, an FD is the closest thing to a four-wheeled bike I\'ve found yet :D

jon5698

Ha ha i should have said which one i was after, deffo the 7, not a fan of the 8 at all! I don\'t have the V4 Nik it is the Millie Rsvr i have, bored is the wrong word i just don\'t get a chance to ride it as i have moved to Blackburn to be with my girlfriend and i have no where to store it here so it is just sat in my parents garage.

Aha, comprende! Still a cool bike though, can\'t go wrong with a litre V-twin, even if it does have a headlight like a Philishave lol :D. I went up to Blackburn a few times when I was couriering, there were some quality roads round there. Always made me wish I wasn\'t riding for work so I could cut loose and enjoy myself a bit.

Anyway, best of luck tracking down a good FD. Never be afraid to ask for help/advice on here, all the knowledge you\'d ever need is out there somewhere lol and most people here are happy to help. Buy a good one and never regret it, buy a knacker and it\'ll be a timebomb ;)

My rx7 will be up for sale in a month Jon as I\'m going self employed and need a van. Give me your email and I can send you the spec at the weekend if you want? What sort of price was you looking at?

Adam.

Hi Adam, i am not in the position to buy at the minute mate. I need to sell my bike first and want to do a lot of research before i commit to buying anything. Thanks anyway Jon

Welcome to the MRC! Hope you find yourself a good car.

I\'ve having a bit of a turbulent time with my recent purchase (FD3) so all I\'d say is check, check and double check again! :) I made sure the engine had been rebuilt recently but I\'ve still run into issues with the cooling system (it keeps loosing it :( !)

The people of this forum are really helpful and will be only too willing to give advice. Good luck in your search and hope you find yourself a car soon.
