Right i have finally got the FD rims for the EGI but me and my dad can\'t decide what colour to do them in?

They\'re not got to stay the frankly beautiful colour lol because my dad says other wise. So we need help on deciding on what colour to do them in.

I think black will give it a nice mean stance but then white will look good as well, I thought of gun metal gray as well but just can decide.

Right here are the wheels (also they came with centre caps which is brilliant)

And this is what they look like next to the rex

They look so much better than the standard wheels, can\'t wait :Thumbs-up

Also what tyres to put on them?
ATM two of them have Bridgestone Potenza\'s on which are very good (but expensive) tyres, but as these wheels came off of a drift car the tyres aren\'t in brilliant condition. They have 3-4mm on most parts but they have flat spots where the handbrake has been used, so on the flat spots it is 0.8-1.6mm, and they also have slight blistering.
I would like to put a good make on them Bridgestone, Pirelli, BF Goodrich, Avon, Continental etc... and i would also like to have the white writing on the tyres, like these on this lovely 9000

Many Thanks :Thumbs-up

Kenji

Those are odd FD rims? They look a bit \'flatter\' than the FD rims I have, might be just the colour that is melted my eyes though lol - perhaps white might suit?

My FD rims:

Ah! found them, they are 99 spec wheels - are they staggered 17s?

Hi Mitch
They aren\'t the normal fd rims like yours, they are very similar to the 99 spec rims but the 99 spec are 17inch where as these are 16 inch, but they are same tyre size as yours, 225/50/16.
But can\'t complain for £80
Don\'t know what your talking about your eyes melting due to that current beautiful colour though lol
Also where did you get your front spacers and I assume they are hubcentric?
And also the other thing on my mind is that the fc and fd centre bore sizes are different, Did you get fc hubcentric 20mm spacers and then get spigot rings for the fd rim\'s to fit the fc centre bore or what?
Cheers James :cheers

The front spacers are indeed 20MM hubcentrics, the ones I am running are from FlickstRRs drift car (so I know they are strong lol) I did get some 15mm spacers which weren\'t big enough (I have some OZ Pegasus rims that I wanted to fit but fitted FD rims instead) I got them from DM motorsports who is a trader on here, they are custom milled to the correct bore size in the centre, very good craftsmanship so check them out :)

Will do, but will have to wait till next month

£80!!!! That is a bargain, these are the super rare late Jap spec rims!!! Awesome and i\'d go for a dark colour like gunmetal or something. Try photoshop white as well, could be nice against red ;)

White rims are a nightmare. Brake once and they\'re grey. Brake two times and they\'re black. (depending on what brakepads you use).
But white wheels are b***h to keep clean.

Ooooh! I like super rare!! :yes A very clever find on Driftworks by my son James.... think they were available for some time till we found them. Reckon peeps were maybe put off by the "shocking pink!" ...can\'t think why? and the lime green centre caps finish the job nicely!!

Just saw some of those rims on the type RS, only 500 FDs made

These are the same http://forum.mazda6club.com/buy-sell/167714-fs-99-spec-fd-wheels-16x8-16lbs-lightweight.html.
Know what you mean about white wheels turning black, got a set of white compomotive\'s on the mx5 and they are a bummer to keep clean, but not that worried about the rex as it is only a weekend and show car and i always clean it anyway.
I\'m thinking black or gunmetal grey, i think white will suite it but black makes it look a bit more aggressive IMO.

This is right! And its easy to get black and gunmetal grey to go with anything :D

wheelynutz

Right they are going to be turned black. DECIDED!!!
Also Mitch what did you do on your rear wheels in terms of the centre bore?
