ok here is a question.

is there a way to stop the headlights poping up when you put on the side lights? dont mind the rest of the time just when the side lights are on. as the car already has side lights in the bumper or would it be a case of modding the light switch.

There is a gray relay behind the glove box apparently. If you pull that they should stay down on side lights and pop up on main lights. At least that\'s what I read on here somewhere!

I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

I\'m interested to know if this is true :)

Yep - grey relay - the informous \'dip/dim\' relay.  It\'s about 1"x2"x2" and has about 7-8 wires going into it.  Just removing the relay will stop the headlights coming on dim when you have engine running and side lights.

When I get home from work I\'ll take a piccy of it and post up.

Sweet thought there must be a way of doing it as you can with most pop up lights. Didn\'t know if it was like Toyota where you just cut a wire. Will do this today as i like to run with side lights on as got tort to in my advanced driving but didn\'t with the rx coz it popped the headlights up.

Please do, so I don\'t sabotage my headlights :Giggle

Did you manage to get a snap Prof?

Prof

oops - nearly forgot!

I couldn\'t actually find the wire itself - I\'ve tie wrapped it out of the way so good I can\'t now find it - lol

Once you take the relay out, it keeps falling into the passenger footwell - so needs tiewrapping.

Anyway - here is the relay and bracket it sits on - out of the car - you\'ll find it just under the lip underneath the dash under the glovebox.
