Hi peeps, sometimes i look at my rex and it seams it requires a spoiler to finish it off for the time being but then sometimes it doesn\'t?! im 50/50 on this one and wanted to know what you guys think? these are the pics i had when it was up for sale on piston heads a while but nothing has changed far as body other than rear spats. thanks :D

Personally I like spoilers on them I think they finish the car and give a more aggressive look. I also Would have thought it would have helped aerodynamically to have one.

RobMatthews

many people have commented on a spoiler do aid high speed stability and stabilises the car under braking from high speed all depends how fast you drive your car!

Something like the feed spoiler is what i would recomend but then im biased

And a nice set of 18" lightweight advans with a slight arch roll will \'fatten\' the car up nice for a real hard stance!(in the for sale section of coarse

FD\'s are too long from the rear screen to the lights not to have a spoiler it just doesn\'t look right.

AFAIK Mazda designed them with a spoiler.

At road speeds I don\'t think it actually matters - just what you prefer the look of.

Hi Adarmo (sorry for hijacking the thread) but do you still want those headlights? Ive sent you an email yesterday :) Cheers

wolfie1

yea i reckon it needs a small spoiler on it to finish it off

StreetracerHCI

You need the spoiler :) I suggest the 99 spec spoiler ;)

My FD3S From Rome, Forever work in progress :mmmm

Spoiler definitely.

Diffuser and proper aerodynamic wing on a FD looks sensual.

As far as I am concerned the only advantage to not having a spoiler is it makes the car easier to clean and polish. Getting under the spoiler on mine is always a bit of a pain. Looks wise, they never look right without one.
FD or not FD? that is the question.

jamison1982

i love my spoiler, i just took it off to polish the stands and it looks so much better with one.

dthebuk

depends on how you have your car sitting imo.

If you have you\'re car sitting dead flat then go spoiler-less. If you run it quite aggressively. ie bigger tyres/wheels at the back (maybe a bigger arch gap) then spoiler is the way to go. Personally i wouldn\'t touch a spoiler unless the car was running wide rear arches, but each to their own.

subtle spoiler is the way forward imo

what spoiler it that, id like something like that and make some custom stands that are a bit higher

rextreme

Its a Scoot spoiler Bud.

Not many around.

I take my spoiler off when not at the track. But handling under hard braking is SHOCKING!
1800mm will just fit inside an FD for transport.

i think it all depends on what the car is used for, track and racing you need a badass (sorry for the language) spoiler, everyday runner no spoiler.
