My First RX.....

Morning all.

OK, after about 6 weeks of hunting, having a few drives and seeing several RX-7s, both modified, unmodified and downright sh!te (ref: Keighley Trade Centre), I have found and purchased my first RX-7 !!! :chat
Originally on Ebay, I made the journey up to Aberdeen on the weekend to go and have a look, and although I couldn\'t buy at the price the auction ended at I think I got a damn good deal.
1995 Type R2, Black, 38,000 miles, JVC headunit with Bose speakers, Clifford Concept 300, t/t, Re-Amemiya Boost Gauge, Mazdaspeed Rays Alloys (gold and silver), s/s exhaust, apexi springs and 8-point adjustable shocks, Veilside rear spoiler too. The inside looks spanking, and with a good machine polish it should glow at JAE !
Next it\'s time to troll this site to find answers to all my questions, best sounding BOV, good tyre source (255 P Zeros can\'t be cheap), planning the mods and getting to some meets !! :cheers

Starting to research what mods first now.... !

Mods ? Follow this list:

- boost gauge
- alluminium AST (air separation tank)
- new fuel filter & plugs
- downpipe
- upgraded radiator
- boost controller to keep boost limited to 10psi until you get another ECU
- efini y-pipe
- upgraded SMIC
- upgraded fuel (pump, injectors) AND upgraded ECU

I would also add :

Induction Kit
Cold Air Feed
Oil temp Gauge (so I know when I can boot it)
Fuel Mixture Gauge

But then I haven\'t really got my hands dirty yet.......

Cautious regarding downpipes and the like as I removed my cat from my GT-Four and had to get it MOT\'d at a \'friendly\' MOT station !

Recommendation for a BOV ? Just searched the forum and no-one stated which they thought was the loudest !!

Looks very similar to my car. A black FD with gold Rays split-rims is the definition of perfection in my opinion.....not that I\'m biased or anything!

Will have to take my digi camera next time I go to my folks place (the Rex is holed up in their garage...don\'t think she\'d last long parked on the mean streets of Swansea!). She\'s not lookin too pretty at the mo, I\'m getting her ready for a re-spray and a Feed Type-II front end. The car hasn\'t tuned a wheel since last october.....fookin depressing! The plan is to get her tearing-up the tarmac by the end of next month.
