Just agreed to go for them.
Ignore the frankly gorgeous colour lol but i will more than likely change that.
They are the last set of 4 on the first post.

If you wanted something like that check out the Mazda 5 sport rims (my dad has a Mazda 5) they are 17s, although not sure on the offset.

Nice wheels but i prefer the others and think they will suite the rex better.
I have said to the seller that i will go for them and have asked him if i can pick them up on the way back from RS8.

Quote from: B.Martin;780556Off subject slightly, I remember stumbling across a discussion on RX7club about RX8 wheels on an FC. I thought they looked good, but some people argued that they were impractical and were the wrong offset etc. Anyone know anymore about this as I don\'t really get this offset, fitment malarky!

Anyone?

Did you get the FD rims or the R32 rims?

The FD rims, two with tyres, two without

Can\'t grumble at that price! I\'d have bought the R32 rims though, if I wasn\'t brassic :Giggle

aha papercutout you were the only other fc at awesomefest apart from mine suprised you never saw my car out on track

but yeah my arches are still origonal metal but the inner skin has some added too meet the outer skin were it has blatantly been beaten into shape with a big mallet as there far from perfect and as much as id love too spend some time getting them too look spot on its outa my bodywork capabilities as i have none whatsoever and i cant really afford the bill from a bodyshop too do it

also i would really like a big wing for the back but ive settled on a shine auto wangan one as i cant afford a bgw wider than the cars arches if that makes sense as i think if its not wider thqn the car it would look stupid

also the car now has a bn front bumper as i destoyed the uras one at awesomefest

I did see it on track mate, looked and sounded great! Didn\'t realise it was you though, or I\'d have come and said hi! Are you coming to Rotorstock?

TBH I think it looks best spoilerless or big wangan one, so that\'s better in my eyes anyway!

That explains it, we didn\'t even look at chopping it out, but they look really sweet with the shape kept in and just hammered out. Obviously would look sweeter done better, but it\'s not too shabby at all!

wheelynutz

Do i need 20mm spacer each side or is it two 10mm spacers?
Also the offset is explained here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Offset_(wheel)

papercutout

A single 20mm hubcentric spacer is best. They\'re not cheap though, but your studs will NOT be long enough to run more than a 10mm slip on spacer with alloys.

papercutout i think if you were too see my rear arches up close you would realise there pretty rough but nevermind but whats killing me lately is seeing how much better it looked when i first purchased it as now its bodywok is hanging too bits and i have no skills too sort it

I thought they where the way to go but know if i didn\'t ask i would have got the wrong ones.
Where could i get some good ones that don\'t cost tones of money? (don\'t mind if they are second hand)
:cheers

Don\'t quote me on this, but IMO if you get 2nd hand items, they\'re tried and tested and should be reliable, as well as saving you money: (obviously these are Nissan, so different)

Whereas if you get cheapo ebay ones you\'ll always be a bit wary. Alternatively you could buy more expensive ones:

Exactly, i\'ll probably wait until some rx7 ones come up for sale as i need to get the correct bore size to expel any vibration and it\'s better on the money front.
I did see some for sale on MRC but sadly there have already been snapped up :(

Ask DM motorsport, they spacers he makes are good quality :)
