Iam finally going to the nurburgring in sept aswell as Hamburg and Amsterdam in my fd for a sexy road trip.:Ladys-man
I just wanted to know if anyone here had any troubles with noise limit on rotary cars at the ring. Are they strict on this kind of thing?
My car is fairly loud but ive heard louder.

Stopped in a great Ramada Hotel about 45mins up the road for the German GP this weekend if you want the details.

Had trouble with the F1 cars noise bouncing round the stand....God it must have been 140dB in there......

It\'s a public road in theory, is there a sound limit. I honestly wouldn\'t know!

And yes they are strict, they\'ll check you at the gate if they are unsure.

Don\'t know, sorry, it was a package.
Just a 100% great hotel in Bruhl, below Cologne.
Ramada so I suppose not cheap, but the tour companies must be happy with their deal.

Really that\'s :censored: I\'m off there next weekend and I\'ll be at least 102db....

i went 2 years ago when mine was well over 110dB (blown Kakimoto) and they never said a thing.

...having said that i have seen them there everytime i\'ve been with their tester - just try and keep the revs low when you turn up at the barriers and hope for the best if you don\'t have time to change anything.

You could hand out free ear muffs :Giggle

I`ll slip `em a few £20 notes:cheers

Phew tested mine last night with a couple of apps got between 92-96db avg between 4-5k rpm, I should be alright.

Thanks to the people at FEED for a quiet yet free flowing exhaust!Quiet being a relative term of course, WOT under load still must be well in excess of a hundred :Giggle

This is where we stayed, if you are a group it\'s ideal as it\'s self catering. Alternatively they do single rooms on a b+b basis. Cheap and clean-quite nice apartments too.

Then get yourself to the Cherrybar.;)

The noise tests seem to be "random" and less if you\'re on local plates :(

For staying prices are 45euro b&b down to 35euro if you share room at the Breidscheid track entrance. Great viewing for the leg down to the bridge. See http://www.hotel-an-der-nordschleife.de/hotel/prices.php ( proclaim a vested interest my apartment is next door and available for rent ! )
