Very nice indeed, lovely colour.

Looking forward to JAE where I can see a host of RX-7s and see what gauge pods you have, dump valves, etc..., so I know which are the best ones to get for my new motor !

Nice car, although a little down on power.
Was that power measured at 10psi ? What dyno ?
No upgraded IC and/or intake ?

cruiser,

I have stock airbox, intercooler & cat.  Only performance mods are down pipe, back box and tuned Apexi pfc.  Running max 0.8 bar, 11.5 psi.  Dyno\'d on Dyno Dynamics at CPL Sheerness.

Dynojet = Dyno Dynamics, no ?

kevint

They are different, Dynojet is from the US whereas the Dyno Dynamics is from Oz.  Dynojet has a reputation for giving higher numbers but the only way to be sure would be to run the same car on both under same conditions.

Hi Kevin! :wave

Looks lovely mate...agree that the colour is beautiful. But exactly what colour is it? Thought IBM was the only blue? Might be the light but it looks like a different shade?

Personally, i thought 253rwhp is pretty good considering the mods you have. By the way, is that wing standard on the RB-S? Are there any other differences between that and a \'99 spec Type RS? Finally, is yours the same as the Type RB S-Package? Sorry for the newbie questions! :)

FDDreamer,

Thanks for the comments. Yes it\'s IBM (innocent blue mica) and it is an RB S Package but, as you say, without the \'99 variable rear wing. I had it swapped, personal preference.

Main differences between RS and RB-S are that the RS has 280bhp as standard with twin oil coolers, the RB-S has 265bhp with single oil cooler.  RS comes with 17inch wheels and Bilstein suspension as standard whereas the RB-S comes with 16 inch wheels and standard suspension.  But I won\'t be keeping these wheels for much longer ;)

Cheers

How much did you sell your adjustable wing for ? :god

kevint

I think the pics are overexposed so here is a tweaked version of the first one which is I think is closer to the real colour.

I never owned it, the swap was negotiated into the deal when I bought the car.  If you want one they are advertised on the dragon site for £400 used.  //www.dragonperformance.co.uk.

Thanks Kevin, much appreciated. Another bit of FD data digested! Colour looks much more like IBM in that pic. It\'s such a nice colour though, under-exposed/over-exposed...doesn\'t really make a difference, still looks fab! :)

Look forward to seeing the car with new wheels...it\'s a stunner!

Cruiser, 253 atw is very good if u consider that the FD is 255,265,280 bhp (depending on model) at the FLYWHEEL standard.
Kevins figures are impressive considering the limited mods he has done.
An early standard FD, should produce 205-210 bhp at the wheels as a bench mark figure
