Hello all,

After lurking for quite a while and feeling guilty, I thought I\'d make myself known as this site is such a goldmine full of valuable information - what I get out i will do my best to put back in/help where possible!

Anyway, I\'m a first time rotary owner, proud owner infact of a 2000 FD3S RB-SE in white. The very helpful Jurgen at JM Imports helped with importing it and loved every minute of the 2 month ownership so far. Unfortunately, the last month its been off the road, wet roads + tight roundabout + diesel slick = curb action - as a result I hit the front bumper bad enough to warrant it being off the road so it could be repaired...gutted! Thankfully it\'s back and enjoying it while a) the weather is good and b) the wallet is healthy(ish) ha! Will post a pic of the car in the 3rd Gen series forum when I get home tonight.

Look forward to talking to you all, will no doubt get in touch with some garages soon. Have Dragon moved on from rotarys or was I imagining it? if so I\'m guessing RE-WORX will be next point of contact?

Cheers

Welcome to the forum.....

Bit of a shame on the little crash, chalk it up to experience....you only need worry if you do it again!

What do you need for your Rx?  We are only up the road from you :D

Welcome to MRC Dan but sorry to hear of your mishap :3Confused,

Glenn who is the guy I started the club with had a brand new 3rd Gen in 2000 and sadly wrote it off in the same way just 10 months on.

Most anyone can be caught out at times due to the way the twin turbos can spool up and end up on full boost at part throttle, lighting up the rear wheels----------and away you go!

I have often said that even big power single Turbo RX-7\'s are easier to drive because you know what it\'s going to do and when :Thumbsup!
All the best Clive

Thanks for the welcome guys!

John, totally forgot you are close by, apologies! When funds recoup, I will be looking at getting an Apexi PFC (and mapping session) then slowly add parts accordingly. Will need my suspension (HKS Hipermax Pro) set up for fast road use soon - doesnt quite feel right as it was messed about with in Japan to get the car onto the boat! Will get in contact if anything else pops up!

Clive, feel gutted for Glenn - don\'t know what I would have done if I wrote mine off though, probably cried a bit then do the dreaded phone call to the insurance would be logical ha!! Know what you mean about the twins, quite easy to miss judge sometimes. Single turbo does sound like a good option from what I have read on here - we will see what the future brings :)

Cheers
