We\'ve recently changed the rad on the FB and now the low coolant light is on and the warning chime sounding.

On the original rad the coolant level sensor at the top seemed to be blanked off and didn\'t have any wires coming out of it.

Could the wire have been earthed to the engine bay, as opposed to the rad, and then the wire has been disturbed during the change

Cheers

sounds like it... if it isn\'t earthed either by the sender or the body, it\'ll put the light and chime on. You need a new level sender if the wires broken off yours... you can earth the wire to the body in the meantime to put the light out

Thinking about it, the wire must have been connected before, as the light came on once and we topped up and it went out. I\'m guessing it just got broken during the change and wasnt noticed. I just found the wire dangling in the wing and joined it up the wire on the sender, noise gone! cheers for the help
