selling this clutch and flywheel for £300 quid or nearest offer

this clutch retails at £1830 inc VAT,

the price is low as it needs a new friction plate, this can be attained from Clive as he contacted Exedy 12 months ago when i changed the clutch and the new plates are £900, so you are saving £630!!

the clutch was in my car for less than 1,000 miles.

clutch pedal is really light and easy on the knees.

Is this the Hyper Single Carbon ? Link:http://www.exedy.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4_46&products_id=3042

How many miles does the Clutch kit have? Does it come with trust bearing and pressure plate too please?

Thanks,

Ken

the hyper single is a ceramic clutch, this is similar but the centre plate is made from carbon fiber.

check on mazdarotaryparts in the 3rd gen parts section and you will find this clutch there.

i havent done around 750 miles on this clutch but i manage to burn the centre plate out, clutch was set too high and discovered this too late. so this clutch needs the new carbon centre plate.

i am selling the complete assembley, flywheel, pressure plate, i will leave the friction plate in it too but this part needs replacing

How much is the friction plate to replace on top of the 300 you\'re looking for?

900. Thought I mentioned it on my first post. Overall saving is a lot.

Don\'t worry about it. I know it\'s a long shot to try sell this clutch as it is but someone is going to save a lot of money. The cf plate might even be cheaper now as it was over a year ago that Clive priced it up for me and exedy had said they hadn\'t had to replace one at that point because they said they were so good. Well I sure showed them!

If I can\'t sell it I will keep it and use it on something rotary in the future.

It is such a good clutch TBH, iv driven with heavy clutches and have bad knees from them. With this I could have driven all day long.

Will any other excedy plates fit this one - or would the pressure plate fit the stock clutch so you could gain the extra clamping force?  (dont know if that would even work!!)

Grant Monkhouse

I don\'t think so. The thickness of the friction plate dictates what it will fit on.
