rev limit : cancelled
hmm that sounds worrying, do they really mean its just been raised from stock or can you rev it until your engine explodes. lol

My stock FC had no limiter on it, now have a Knightsports chipped ecu that has now reduced that to 9k rpm :rollin

leefitz

Ha haa, great reduction lol what way is the chipped ecu\'s then? There much of a difference to a standard knight sports ecu?

Hey, im getting my hands on large intercooler. Is this something that can be wisely added to the car? I wont be heart broke if its not wise to fit it as it was got at a good price and ill happely keep it until such a time i am able to use it. But i would be lieing if i said i didnt egarly want to fit it to the car asap lol

A larger intercooler is good as the OEM intercooler can get restrictive and become an \'interwarmer\' at certain boost levels, what sort is it? is it SMIC/FMIC or V mount?

I would also upgrade the radiator if you havn\'t done so already, plastic end caps on the OEM radiator get brittle and can crack

leefitz

Its a front mount intercooler 600x280x80mm but can be used in v-mount as well if needed. Haven\'t decided what way to use it yet. its one of the intercoolers from the group buy on fduk

the rad has already been upgraded to the toyo duel core or duel flow rad, good chunk of a thing lol.

so you think get her in then asap ;D  well seeing as is for the drifter and heat and airflow is an issue, whats the better option, v-mount or front mount?

Probably V mount for less lag, get some electric fans on the back of the IC and radiators to a switch in the cabin, turn them on full for when you drift

leefitz

Sounds good, was thinking v mount myself but not the fans. i have a second set of FD fans that could be fitted to the IC so thats that sorted. just need to get some ideas on mounting the v mount as iv never seen anyones setup or indeed how this one should fit. i think there is fitment answers on the fduk group buy thread.
