First off sorry if this is in the wrong section.

picked this up around two weeks ago, at first i broke my s13 for parts and was going to get a half sensible car, but i then sat and read phil\'s thread on driftworks of is fc3s drift car and that was it i needed to have one, skip a few weeks and this popped up on ebay, bit ropey around the edges but seemed a good base to start from.

so a few pics from when i bought it:

it came with a few nice parts like ohlins adjustable suspension (that will be sold in favour for DW cs2\'s) two sets of wheels, hks fcd, gready front mount, apexi avcr, full exhaust system etc etc, it ran like a bag of s*?t when i first picked it up but was down to a massive leak from a blanking plate on the inlet. i know how i want the car to look and drive so the strip down began, will try and update as often as possible.

the messy bay:

spoiler removed

started to strip the interior out:

it seemed mazda decided to use 10 tonnes of sound deadening so started to remove all that, with all the sealer on joints etc, most of the car will be stitched welded and then sent away for the cage to be fitted

removal:

parts collected so far:

Thanks Dan

Welcome to the club

Looking good, looks like thats not in bad condition either. Good to see another FC being salvaged and turned into a very capable car to rival the Nissan dominated drift scene.

Good luck, will definately keep an eye on this one. I want my TII to be a daily driver with drift capabilities for the weekends.

Any help you need will be usually availiable from the very knowlegable members on here.

i started with a heat gun and scraper, but found using a wood chisel and hammer alot easier( just take your time so not to go into the floor) then assorted wire wheels on a drill, then just cleaned it up with white spirit/acetone mix to get the last little bits off and leave the suface clean.
