Dash not working, need help ASAP!!!

I will say now that I\'m sure there is something about this on here but I\'m not familiar with this site and i need help ASAP as the car is going for a MOT in 1 day, and I\'m pretty sure you need a working dash for it to pass!!

Ok, so in anticipation for this MOT i was fixing the rear fog light that was put in when the car was imported from japan. Turns out the cable running from the back to the switch in the dash was broken, so I fixed that. Put the dash back together. Turned the car on and went for a celebratory drive and noticed the speedo wasn\'t working (JUST the speedo) took dash apart again to find a red wire running from a little black box (that i assume is somthing to do with the KPH to MPH convertion) was disconnected, also that there was a crimp end attached to the dash with no wire in it, so naturally i hooked that up and put dash together. Now no dash turns on, checked the fused in the drivers foot well and a 15amp was blown, so i stole one from the box in the front for the AC. Here\'s where it goes weird. . . . I now get the rear demister light working and the main beams light working when ignition is on but nothing else, however the car still starts. I remember from before that i used to get a "4W ABS" on the left come on before start, but i no longer get that, nor do i get the revs, speedo, miles or the little green light above the ignition barrel. The back lights for the needles still come on when you turn the headlights on.

I\'m a film electrician by trade and i cant see anything wrong with the cabling behind the dash but I can only assume its something I\'ve accidently done while fixing the fog light.

As I\'ve said the cars off for its MOT in 1 day so any help, advise or suggestions would be very welcome asap!!!

been trying to fix it this evening and went for a drive to get something and noticed that the rear demister light comes on when you start, but when you click it off about 10mins (ish) later its on again. Also the speed on the FC commander isnt reading

check reversing light sensor i lost all gauges ages ago replaced fuses kept blowing took to garage they sorted sensor - dont ask me where it is
