Receiving payment from abroad

Just curious here roughly how long does it take for a payment from Europe take to arrive into a British bank account?

2 days usually on standard transfers, but depends on many things e.g. Bank, type of transaction, amount, where transfers are from and too. Best option is to get details and check with bank, I say 2 days but it can be upto 11 days (or more in some cases) with some business bank accounts etc.

You can do instant payments to / from overseas now but as Ben says it\'s completely dependant on the bank sending they funds as to how they do it and how long that takes. If you know the bank it\'s coming from then you could see if their internet sites gives any timescales.
