Quick qu, front suspension removal

Hi guys.

Just in the middle of removing my coilovers and I seem to be stuck.

The shock seems to be stuck in the lower control arm and in the turret at the top.

Any ideas on how to get the bottome out? It\'s all unbolted and it feels just as stiff as if it was all bolted up. Not sure what to hammer as i don\'t want to damage anything.

Could someone shed some light please?

Pry the shock out from underneath. I usually undo the roll bar from it\'s mounts to allow the lower arm to move up and down

I\'ve done it a couple of times now while replacing the OEM shocks.
 
At the front unbolt the ARB either side and let it hang.
Use a jack under the lower arm and undo the top arm inner bushes.
Lower the upright down on the jack and best to get someone else to move the damper and upper arm together to an angle to extract the damper.
 
At the rear again undo the roll bar either side (actually one side at a time is OK).
Undo and remove the roll bar bolt from the uppper arm. You\'ll need to drift it out with a rubber hammer most likely. Again whil supporting the upright to protect the CV join lower the lot and remove the damper.
 
If I remember with the OEM damper can get jamed at the back getting it over the upper arm as it\'s longer than the after market stuff. I installed some GAZ coilover today and it was very stright forward with those.

Cheers for the info. I can\'t beilive i didn\'t consider the arb, it really just wasn\'t my day!
