Hi im replacing all four brake pads and discs, i have started to work on the front but seems as tho it hasnt been removed for a while so the pin that holds in the brake pads has ceized and no matter what i do one of them wont come out, i have given it some knocks on the back and unfortunately buggered then end up a little so will need to replace that, but i still need to get it out, any ideas?

Cheers

Possibly if they havent been out in a while the the pins going through the calipers and pads have built up some corrosion stopping them from sliding out. If you have already damaged the ends and are going to replace them then you can cut them and hit the end out with a punch.

did the same thing myself matey, take the caliper off, get a punch and knock it straight through. Sometimes easier if you cut the middle with a hacksaw then you only have one hole to knock the bits through.

You can get replacement pins from a Mazda dealer - IIRC they are about £14 for a set.

Have fun getting the locating screws out on the front discs.... I fully recommend an impact driver and a big hammer ;)
