Heah there guys, i`m not so much a regular but I am a Rotorhead to the core and I need a lil` help...

All opinions, experiences, advice welcome, please get involved!

My problem started this afternoon, I parked my FC3S TurboII  (`91...) after driving her for about 1hr30. She ran fine, usual temp, oil pressure, the works... she\'s a dream, it was her usual ride... I ran the usual 10minute Benson and checking my texts, cool down time and turned her off.

I get back in the car after about... what, cup of coffee and a three quarters hour natter and get back in my 7.

Turn the ignition over, fine...
Fires perfectly, check...
Initial Rev peek and settle from the revs,
check pressures, fine,
let her get her bearing and warm back up abit...
temperature runs to the usual `slow rise` as she gets settled running again...

Then the warning `rad` light on the dash lights, the warning alarm rings and I .... myself...
I let the car run for a further 30seconds to see if it was the water temp doing one, did it? Nope...
Check Oil pressure to see if it bottoms out or goes thermo-nuclear... Nope.
Kill engine and pop bonnet,
Oil... fine.
Water... fine.
Obvious `grinding, breaking, metal on metal` noises... none.
Water pipes are full, checked for cold patches, checked rad, checked for leakage... none.

I keep my ride sqweaky clean and can\'t seem to source a problem...

...am I being a \'tard? HELP!

I\'m a way from being home and need to work out what to check, can I drive her... etc.

Or it could be an airlock, I had a very slow leak from the hose that is connected to the heater matrix, bottom of the engine, spark plug side at the back. I had the coolent buzzer go off on me and it was like....AAHHHHH lol check your hoses to see if any have split or perished. When the car has cooled down, is there much water left in the expansion tank?
