Quote from: shaunwil;741629I get about 18mpg out of the LPG, but that is with all sorts of everyday driving. Can include a bit of traffic too ! I can get it up to 23/24 on motorway runs !

I always get confused with this one with lpg.  It that 18 mpg per 4.54 ltr of gas which when compared to the cost of petrol would equate to something close to 30-32 mpg?

Quote from: Steve-A;741639I didn\'t realise I was that close!

I did realise I\'d be up your way, and thought about the spare wheel, but I had a colleague with me and had to play Tetris with cameras, lights and tripods to get what I needed for the shoot in the 5 as it was!

Not a problem there, the spare wheel didn\'t cross my mind, would have been nice to put faces to names and a quick chat & coffee or what have you.
Anyway, 23 mpg gives me some hope for my FC when I eventually get around to restoring her later this year (touch wood).  So that makes GUS\'s 12a & MX7 13b engines fairly comparable for fuel and I wouldn\'t have thought there was that much difference from a body weight factor.

My mx7 has got the aux port actuators removed completely, which will hurt my mpg (but give me a few more horses!), so I\'d expect more like 27 on a long run with a stock FC.

Yes that\'s right. Its be slashed from 40mpg in price comparison in the last 3 years !

I\'ve not got any of the original intake of the 6 port so all the ports are open all the time. Plus the dizzy isn\'t timed to tick over because I don\'t have the vacuum pickup on the throttle body. Both of these effect mpg.

I think I would get a few more miles if I was running EFI instead. The FD can see up to 28mpg easily on motorway trips with a single turbo setup. Not sure how the new street port will effect it though.
