most politicians dont live in the real world, if you watch "Question time" as much as i do you will soon see that most ain\'t got a freakin clue !!!!

Tony Blair on the other hand was too smart and got everyone believing the hype
"Every generation has the chance to change the world"

I loved it when he was asked about how more and more people are relocating further south to work, which he denied, the presenter then said, well thats what you did, to which he denied and then rebuffed by sayine, what did you want me to do, move houses of parliament up north! :rollin

Whole thing is a waste of parliamentary time, money and effort.  Leave it as it is or just run GMT all year round.  You aren\'t gaining or losing any bloody daylight anyway - if your job is best done in daylight, just change the time you start work.

Here, here, perhaps you could explain that to the farmers (mainly Scottish) who are the ones kicking off!

And your right, we arent gaining any more hours of daylight, however, i would prefer the hour of light at the end of the day rather than morning, summer months would still mean good light at 10+, rather than that hour at 4 in the morning when no one is up, apart from said farmers, posties etc

Would help Tourism industries as they could trade longer, perhaps making the UK a more popular destination!

I dont think its a waste if it benefits the countries revenue, as i certainly cant see it hurting it!

Or we could all just get up earlier?  I\'m sure the posture and milkmen quite like working in daylight in the summer.

Or as you said in your previous post, make up your mind! I cant really see tourists heading out at 4 -5 or even 6 oclock, but sure they would be more likely to stay out later!

Would love a summers evening, still light at 11, awesome!

If you dont like the idea, no problem, we are all entitled to an opinion, but dont try and justify it and then contradict yourself!

Never see a postie before midday round here.....and speaking as an underpaid overworked train driver (lol) if I have to go to work at half three in the sodding morning (and I do) I\'d probably prefer it if it was pitch black to at least match my mood :(

Same here, think our posties would benefit from lighter evenings!
