What doesn\'t exist yet.?
The electric motors are available as there is an electric car going through testing that does over 200mph using four motors (Tesla started showing these off). And the gas turbines of this type have been made for years for model use.

I\'m sure I read somewhere it was bringing all the technologies together that needed perfecting.

Although I could be completely wrong, thought I had read it in The Engineer or Eureka that it was still a work in progress with blue sky thinking. Everything Exists but it still had hurdles to overcome.
