In 10 years time when these cars are true classics, people will be crying out for original un-b\'stardised examples and there won\'t be any left. They\'ll just disappear from our roads completely :( Me sad now.

I see your point now - although I am a believer in making mods to a car to make it more reliable / usable and tweaking those things I didn\'t like first time around.

The mods on this car are mostly under the skin, and by and large the interior still looks stock, which I think is a good thing.  But you are right so few examples of these cars are left at all.  Let\'s hope this is bought by someone who will cherish it, and not scrapped.

Perhaps I just need to get me a shed and take all that emission stuff off people\'s hands?

Whenever I make mods to a car I always keep all the old bits just in case a future owner wants to put them back.

Don\'t bin it: box it up and pass it on with the car ;)

That\'s even more reason to not mod the few RX\'s that are currently remaining in original spec - leave something for the classic car restorers!  People are really struggling to find original spec Golf GTis (and we know how many of those were made!) - they\'ve all been played about with so there are no genuine cars left already.

I\'ve kept a lot of mine, but I don\'t intend to get rid of the car - so much of it is spider hotel now :Laugh
