Very entertaining last night! I know its all staged but the Oz\'s turning up in the prisoner van was genius! Excellent bunch of guys too, seemed they had a great laugh! :)

^^ Search and download the TG:OZ version of the "ashes" for their view on it.
I saw it first a few weeks back and I found they were funnier/better at it !
Might just be they were first though :)

Can\'t believe how much I felt the Mexican comments had stepped over the comedic line and felt racist. But as I\'ve been exposed to the American and esp Californian issues over the years I\'m maybe tuned to feel it more !

Surely not as bad as suggesting all lorry drivers kill prostitutes, it was a joke based on a stereotypical image!

Clarkson even mocked Boris Becker about his German heritage and accent, chill........

Competition PZ

I am chilled ... but you want to hear Californians on it :)
It does explain why I feel it more than generic UK I think.

I haven\'t seen it yet, but I would say what I always say about Clarkson\'s more .....controversial? OK, offensive moments. I often find him rude, offensive, crass, boorish, opinionated and extremely ignorant. I rarely agree with his oft-quoted slightly to the right of Hitler political leanings. I\'ve even been motivated to sign a petition against him when he advoctaed on air, on Top Gear, the stringing of cheesewire across public country roads to decapitate bikers riding through quiet villages.

However...

I am glad that in this mind-control age of politically correct dogma pervading every aspect of our lives and being told what we can and cannot say all the fduking time that there is still one corner of the most respected broadcasting body on Earth that just stands there and says whatever is on its uncomplicated and bigoted mind at any given time, no matter how many people it might offend. We probably need people like Clarkson to remind us that we can actually think for ourselves if permitted, even if the only thoughts we are capable of promulgating are utter toss

I thought last nights show was a lot better than the first one of the new series. That one to me just didnt seem to make any sense :o

QuoteThe BBC\'s Top Gear has been criticised by the Mexican Ambassador to the UK for a series of \'outrageous, vulgar and inexcusable insults\'.
His Excellency Eduardo Medina-Mora Icaza has written to the corporation to complain about the comments made in an episode broadcast on January 30, and demanded the show\'s hosts, Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond, make a public apology.
To be expected :)

The most remarkable thing in all this is that Top Gear won "Best Factual Programme" at the TV awards :2eek Eh? It hasn\'t been in any way factual for about a decade, surely :3Confused

^^ NTA is all viewer voting isn\'t it ?
SOme I think just vote for it in any category just to wind up the BBC Political Correctness worriers and all the "do gooders" who it upsets :)
(ie me and all mates !)
