Revolution FD is fastest RWD car round there though.
Turned into the worst part of my life....my precious fd3 has gone, but never forgotten....roll on a new life!!!!

Supercharged V8 in that body = WIN ........ easy 49\'s :3gears-lh:rollin

On a serious note, nice double mis shifts by the driver! *cant co-ordinate lifting of throttle and changing gear on up change on back straight* it looks very gutless in top speed too? Not over 210kph? at a guess.

Spec\'s for that motor are 550PS ~ 1.4kg T04Z bridge ported ~950kg weight.

With a real 700bhp 13B Turbo it would be fast as

Those jap 13B\'s as used in time attack are massively down in power to the 4 bangers (200+bhp is a minimum) they need to lift their game :bandit

Is a tractable / useable 700bhp possible from a 13B?

I know you\'re an experienced water injection man so would probably run higher boost than many on here would dare :)

I agree, when you look at the power of some of the top cars, usually the evo / impreza boys, the fd\'s are a fair way down power wise & hence will always struggle to compete. Time to raise the bar.

I think the HKS CT230R record is 53.589sec which is the record for semi-slick track tyres. The Revolution FD is very close with 53.6 and can probably go faster.

All time lap record is 51.785 which was Keiichi Tsuchiya in his GT500 NSX on slicks.

Kind of put into perspective Revolution\'s achievement.

Put on some slicks I say and go for the all out record :)

agreed they are running a lot less power then their foes in the piston engines.
The quick lap time they have got is down to the low weight , weight distribution, power delivery, suspension setup, low centre of gravity of the engine, chassis setup

There was tuned GTR R35 with 800-900 bhp at the time of this record on track, couldnt get its power down despite being 4WD kept spinning up its wheels and breaking traction and was in the 58s I believe

Yeah, think you\'re right now I think about it :o. It was late when I posted that. Hey, at least I got the 51-point-something right :rollin

turbo boy

Didn`t that evo have a carbon body tho? Can`t really be classed as a road car when its whole body shell is made out of the black stuff.

Yeah, it was pretty hardcore, but have you seen the Revolution FD? It\'s mostly carbon, tubular front and rear chassis, custom rear suspension etc, etc....

If anything it\'s more extreme than the HKS CT230 and effectively a full race car.

Absolutely it is, I have shown that for years and all on proper petrol you and I get when we fill up at your local service station.

The new generation of internet experts and kiddies here are trying rubbish Ethanol blends but they will ALL FAIL and learn the hard way that non of this rubbish is acceptable for 13B\'s and 650bhp+ output.

Water Injection is the only way to go if you want power and any type of normal mans measure of durability. The JAP\'s have not been able to work this out since 1983 when they gave up on the bridge ported twin turbo Group C motors for prototype racing (max limit was 500bhp) and they shipped them all off the Racing Beat for land speed record attempts and the factory went NA and PP and 3 and more rotors.

Rotaries do not last in small capacities at high bhp settings without copious levels of cooling of the apex seals and abhorrent levels of OIL mixed in to lube up the apex seals, one of the only way this can be solved on Gasoline (any octane) is with water injection.

Even locally your guru Dragon, his FD was water injected.
Track specific Wifbitz was water injected too.
