Hi there, my names Gaz I\'ve owned my rx7 fc for just over 2 weeks now and thought it was about time I joined up. I\'m 22 years old and have worked in a back street garage since I left school. I\'ve had a few different motors already, one being a Monster truck and another a skyline, I\'ve always wanted a rotary engine but was too scared to get one until now as of all the \'TNT\' like Engine comments I keep hearing. Anyway like I said I\'ve had it for about 2 weeks and all seems well. The one thing I\'m concerned about is the other little dip stick that says \'twist to close\' or something like that? What\'s this for? Seems like oil is in it but never worked on a rotary before. I did search it but found nothing...any help would be really appreciated :)

Thanks
Gaz

Haaa cheers guys, I did say that to him but thought he told me it was a special pot for oil as I know nothing about rotarys DOH! Is it normal ATF you guys use that\'s red? As this is golden colour just like the oil...that\'s what got me confused. Think I may have to drain it out and fill with fresh. Il get some pics up when i finish work!

Thanks Gaz.

I\'ve put slick 50 ps fluid in before now, which is clear - but the red stuff is ok too :)

Oh - and welcome to Rotary land :)

I\'ve never had to fill mine up, come to think of it I should really check it! In other cars I\'ve just used regular hydraulic oil in place of power steering fluid, just cos i have it. don\'t know if there\'s any difference but i\'ve never had any issues.
