Guy\'s for some time now I have had the exhaust temp light flickering on when in the rpm range 2000-300rpm Either side of this and it doesn\'t come on. To refresh my spec to all I have a single turbo conversion, 4x850c injectors with decat pipe and temp sensor is located in the decat. Apexi PFC ECU.

Tuner put it down to interference from something as it appears to pick up a lot of noise in this rev range? Anyone else had this and got any ideas how to stop it? Try another knock sensor as well to rule that out.
Flickering seemed to stop for a while or be less when I changed the coils recently and turned the fuel pressure down by accident!
Possibly interference from FPR? Although I now put a new one on but haven\'t driven the car since. Dodgy plug lead? Althoguh I would expect some ignition breakup and it would happen all the time?

Any thoughts would be great.

Cheers
Lee

It is the knock warning function on your pfc, Its nothing to worry about and on anything other and a bone standard car the knock sensor picks up all sorts of vibration usually around the 3000rpm mark. Mine used to flicker on all the time which turned out to be a loose bolt on the uim. Since i fitted a downpipe/decat etc it goes crazy and pip advised me just to turn the warning function off on the commander if the flashy heat light was getting on my nerves.

If your car has been mapped then its nothing to worry about and just go into the menu on the commander and turn off that function.

The other warning fuction that is highlighted on the pfc is excessive injector duty and i was advised to keep that one in use as hitting 100% is not good and time for uprated fuelling.

quick flashes is knock and slow flashes is inj duty or vice versa, sorry cant remember which is which.

Hi Neil,

Thaks for the confirmation. I had heard this before but wanted to be sure I wasn\'t missing anything obvious. I might just turn it off in that case.
