me too! They\'re almost giving them away!

Good find, I\'ll have a couple - service is due in less than a hundred miles :)

Well, although I love a good oil filter, I might be tempted to sell one on, see if any members want to make me an offer...what do you reckon? £15 sound about right?

It wasn\'t my original intention to do so, you understand, and I didn\'t set out to make a profit on this :rollin

Back to the serious side...Are these genuine Mazda Oil Filters? I\'m not sure. Will someone say when they\'ve got one?

The one thing I will not substitute as a part is the Oil Filter.

Genuine Mazda means the correct mesh/material inside to stop nasties and if there should be a check valve inside to stop drain-down a Mazda filter will have one.

Air Filters, Fuel Filters, even Brake Pads, all can be Chinese Freddies from DingDong, Oil Filter has to be Mazda fra\' Japan. And don\'t forget to change the sump washer every so often.

Hope this business with Don has gone away, doing my head in. Back to Happy Days I hope.

David that wise old head strikes again ............

To answer your thoughts Dave - I believe they are by Nipponparts or something very similar.  Hmmmmm ...... now you mention it I understand where you are coming from - cheap isn\'t alway the best route to take if the quality is compromised.

Hmmm, fair point there, but surely they are made to the same specification?

I have K&N oil filter at the moment - although the "wrench off" design isn\'t as much a benefit on the RX7 than on my other cars ;)

David Nock (RIP)

Oh, I think K&N are in the top league....I wouldn\'t have any worries about them either.
Specification? I\'m not sure..All these copied goods flooding the market?

I don\'t think the aftermarket copy people worry over much about a spec sheet?
\'Don\'t know\' Marc is the answer to your question so I play safe.
