Cosmo Gearbox Cooked

Half way to Rotorstock and the gearbox overheated! I parked the old girl up allowed it to cool down then nursed it home,seemed to drive ok, but has anyone any idea how much abuse the Cosmo auto will take.First job as soon as i get chance will be getting the oil cooler recored.If that doesnt cure it does anyone know of any other motors with a box that can be converted to fit. If the box is dead im considering a manual conversion, anyone any info on this im sure ive read someware that its not too big a job.:mad:

ouch not good, Sorry to hear about the box.

Is it a 20B or a 13b Cosmo ? I\'m not sure if the rx7 auto box would be the same ? a manual conversion would be quite difficult as they never built a manual cosmo ... but anything is possible.

Its a 20b motor, so its unlikley that the standard rz7 box would hold out too long.im sure it was on one of the aussie sites i read about the conversion and it not being too big a job.guess ill be searching the web for a few nights now
