where to start

hi guys i have recently bought my first fd and i would like to give it a good looking over and i have no idea where on earth to start .
 
Does any on know where I can get some sort of maintinance manual for it ?
 
Also there is a knocking sound from the rear end mainly when I apply the brakes and release . I am thinking it is possibly a bush but really have no idea .

knocking is prob the pillowballs... jack it and give the wheels a yanking around see if you get a knock then.
