Bargain price for the FANS Tim and good to see/hear there is another alternative for the conversion to electric.
Epic speed now you\'re coming out of the engine bay - at this rate you might be finished for May Day?
Good work Tim :Thumbs-up.  Have you worked out what to do for the centre console?  Do you intend modifying the existing one or are you looking at an alternative?

Thanks Cliff, I\'m aiming for next weekend to be first starting attempt. Those fans are only resting there at the moment I\'ll have to make some simple brackets up out of the 5x25mm bar I\'ve got but they won\'t be tricky. I want to try and start him before I go through the hassle of fighting the exhaust because if it turns out that this engine is bad I\'d have wasted my time and I\'ll be delayed anyway by that point. Fingers crossed.

If the engine plays the game then it\'s just a case of waiting for my propshaft to be made before I can go for a play.

Totally agree with your logic on this but regardless if things do go slightly pear-shaped Tim - the last thing it would be is a waste of time, only a monir set back.  Stay cool and if all else fails - have a beer :guinness don\'t things always look different after a beer?
:cheers

Cheers, I\'ll see how I get on-if it gets on my nerves in that position I sort it out.

Over the weekend I got the wiring finished...
Remounted fusable links that will be replaced with a decent fusebox when I get a minute, also mounted and connected fan relay...

I\'m taking my +12V ignition feed from the original coil switched supply but as that is fused quite high I\'m taking it via a small fusebox to protect the smaller cables and ECU...

All cables and MAP VAC pipe fun through bulkhead to ECU position in glovebox...

And a little later...

Finally tonight I actually fixed the fans down to the rad using some M8 stud..

Just a FYI - do away with the shyte fusable mazda links and replace them with the female style fusable link.. Pic below shows what you need.

Only oil lines left to go in the engine bay-perfect job for a Good Friday.

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

So yesterday...made up oil lines-hose came crimped from thinkauto with M18 banjos and supplied me the fittings for the engine end-easy to make just heat with boiling water and push on...

Fluid up with Valvolines finest-no oil leaks and three water leaks easily sorted. Did a check on electrics before plugging in computer then...

Now got loads of small jobs to finish...P clip new starter loom onto transmission tunnel...

Bolt battery down and get box...

Propshaft being made next week.:Giggle
Thats what\'s classed as a good two days....thanks again to Ramon who came with the intention of working on the 2 but spent most of the time on my 7.:god

Last night added some bracing to the top edge of the intercooler to stop it moving about, also finished gearbox mount-ended up using an S5 mount to match the gearbox and adapt to match S2 mounting studs.

And started the process of reassembly...

I like those wheels Tim.
This Fb is gonna fly!
ta stu..

captainbizzaro

Alas they are not mine Stu-they are the wheels for Ramon\'s RX2 but we couldn\'t resist trying one on and I wasn\'t expecting to like them as much as I do.

Tonight I edge closer to owning something resembling a 7-and with minimal swearing involved which wasn\'t what I was expecting!
