Yep, adding extra fuel will help with the flatspot, but as I didnt have any gasket paper to hand I decided to forgoe that part...

Hmm - instructions? Would be easier with pictures, but:

If you can identify the primary and secondary throttle arms on the lhs of the carb near the firewall, you will see that when you press the throttle only the primaries open - but there is a lever that moves in the same arc to essentially release the secondary throttles. If you cable tie the secondary throttle arm to this then it will pull the secondary throttles open at the same time as the primaries - causing both a flatspot at low rpm/high throttle and extra midrange when floored at the right time.

Be careful that it is not too tight or the throttle will be held open at idle, or worse, jam open and not too loose as it will jump slip off.

Peak power shouldnt change, but the feel is different an makes the drive a little more fun.

Not sure if I explained that right - but if Tim has a photo then that would help.

Cheers Ramon I\'ll get a photo when it stops raining, somewhen next week no doubt! Next time I see you I expect you to be fully armed with gasket paper.

Just read the link from Ian which is interesting-didn\'t realise how tuneable a Nikki is.

Hi Ian,

Sorry to bug you again, but my emails keep bouncing back :(

If you could email me at socamoto at gmail dot com, that would be great, and hopefully get around the problem :)

Thanks again
