Hi guys

Anyone know how i can increase the Maximium steering angle for the RX7? I saw lots for the silvia\'s but struggle to find some for the FC. anyone did it to there rx?

Cheers

Most comman ways are putting a spacers on steering rack to enable then to push & pull further but the best mod is to modify the hub knuckles, you shorten the arm that the steering rack rods sits in & gives you mega lock!!

Mazdatrix do an angle (10 degrees) and bump steer kit which is good for low cars. It\'s effectively a spacer but much bigger and safer. Then you will also need some modified lower control arms if you\'re using modified hubs. Nickson motorsports do the lca\'s and they\'re 550 ish a go. They give you a wider track tho, so you\'ll also need adjustable top mounts unless you wanna run 10 degrees camber.

Basically to achieve maximum angle you\'re looking at spending £1500 in parts. Maybe less depending on how you do it. Or you could just go for the 10 degrees extra which will cost you over £100 or 5 degrees which will cost you about £1

I understand the theory with the modified hub, but i still cannot understand the concepts for the spacers. if you put a spacer on wouldnt that be permanently toe in/out and wouldnt pull as far back? I did some research on internet and still confused ><

I believe spacers help widen your track & give you more stablity & not forgetting that once you increase you steering angle your be rubbing the linings & chassis when you are on full lock, so spacers will help prevent rubbing.

johnnymolloy

satoru works do them and the come in cool colours

or powered by max make them for fc\'s

dthebuk

here is a write up on the spacer install on an mx5. As you can see, the car is re aligned for toe http://www.driftworks.com/forum/drift-car-projects-builds/113021-mx5-nb-skidder-2.html#post1448311

that spacer method seems great. 2 pounds for such a big angle. powered by max would be best choice but its 70 times more expensive...
Anyone done the spacer method on their FC? if so any rubbing on the chassis or lining?

seen a couple of people doing it. Though i wouldn\'t go for the dw spacers. They\'re 3.3mm each and the maximum you can get away with is 6mm. You shouldn\'t get any rubbing problems with the spacers, only when you\'re running silly angle do you need to think bout chassis modification

Are you meaning the DW spacers is not thick enough? if so do you know what size (diameter) of spacer i should get so that i can get some thicker ones.

wrong button ==

so on rx7 club theres some argument about eliminating the DTSS. Anyone here eliminated that before? myself i would like get the DTSS working again tho, but mazda only sell the bushes with the hub as usual....

As well, I\'m gona replace all suspension bushes on the FC, power flex, superpro dont do them. found a company called \'Energy Suspension\' and they do a polyurethane master kit (whole set) for 110USD. anyone tried them before? or any other suggestion?
