Yes Andy, mine was intermittment too. And yes the hotter things are the worse generally as old rubber/plastic squashes where you dont want it too.

This is the main reason I (and most others I expect) decided to go single turbo, the whole twin control setup is a lottery once the car is a few years old It can be a really time consuming and hit and miss affair to fault find it. I elected to put the labour towards conversion instead in the end as it just pissed me off tooo much.

I stripped the FC\'s engine on saturday and the way the vacuum hoses and omp lines were a) snapping off b) impossible to remove off nipples or c) popping off nipples without touching them kind of makes you realise how the turbo control system on a 10 year old FD can start to become troublesome!!

yeah with you on that Rich, I\'ve been all over my engine looking for duff hoses n stuff to explain it. Gonna let someone who knows what he\'s doing to have a go now

More patient and collected than me mate! I was used to running \'silly\' bar on a daily basis, it did my head in for a month or so and then it was \'Enuff!\'
