Hi,

Just wondered what people have used to replace/move the OEM Power Steering Cooler line, when a FMIC has been installed.

I have a Blitz FMIC which did\'nt come with replacement Cooler line.

If your Car has a single \'oil cooler\' get a second(in the other duct)and run it as a Power steering cooler...
TRex the Ecowarrior - Recycling exhaust gas and using it to create energy. Just doing my bit

Hi TRex,

I have thought about adding a small Rad like cooler.  Unfortunately my FD has twin Oil coolers.

Was thinking about getting some copper line and bending a new cooler line.
Interested to see what others have done.

are you racing the car?

i didn\'t bother with a cooler at all, just went straight from the rack to the pump. my car gets driven \'vigorously\' on public roads and it\'s not boiled over yet, even in this hot weather.

I have a water to oil cooler if that interests you??

I run rubber line, and have filed it under the \'I\'ll find a solution to it if it becomes a problem\' section.

I installed a small cooler behind the radiators on the support bar. I had to due to the fact that my power steering would boil during drifting

All that I used was some fuel/oil lines and a cheap oil cooler off ebay, think it was a pit bike cooler cost around 15 delivered

Hi,

Sorry to unearth this one again :Giggle

I ran a hose from the back of the reservoir down onto the L/H side of the rack.

I measured the inside diameter of hose that was already on the back of the reservoir and bought about 2 meters worth.

Now my problem is the hose is snug on the back off the reservoir but is loose on the metal hardline that comes off the rack.

Did you use some hose barb/adaptors or just squeezed on smaller hose :Talking1

I used some really tough clamps :D

However, I now need to find a better solution due to the small oily patch that keeps apeparing on my drive :o
It\'s all a bit null and void in reference to this now though I\'m afraid, as I\'m now running an electric PS pump.

i can\'t remember but i think mine was the opposite? i guess it depends where you dissemble the PS lines... i ran 5/8 hose from the rack up to the reservoir and cut the stock hose, splicing the two with a barbed reducer and some fuel clips. it\'s not leaked yet :)
