modifying a car is the worst investment ever...
i have spent over 25k in euros on the car, but i would have to be very happy to get 10k if i would ever sell the car. (not that i will :p)

best way to get slightly even, is to part the car and sell everything in bits and pieces.

When I bolt my T88 on, the total cost including the car will be about 8k :) I will NEVER be selling my FC, theres no point, why do you want to sell it mate?

if your car is increadibly clean and has a good spec i don\'t see why not. I remember brian couldn\'t sell the purple fc. The spec was amazing, the car was just too rough round the edges. Also you\'ll need to find the right buyer. Why would someone buy a nice single turbo FC when theu could get a fairly similar spec fd for slightly more?

it could be done, you might have to wait a while though.

Chris I will post up the pistonheads link when I get round to doing it.

Thanks for the replies, I know I will lose mega money, im selling because its just not getting used and I would like to free up some money. If I cant get near 6 grand then I will be keeping it for a while.

tbh if you really want to get money from it. You\'re best option would be to strip it :(

Think it would be pretty hardy considering the amount of time you\'ve spent on it.

i plan to just drift mine into the ground and then sell whats left of it. If you\'re going to lose money on it you should atleast have some fun with it :D

Why?  because they are just as much fun, cheaper to buy parts for and can get classic insurance. By and large the engines last longer, cheaper to rebuild for some reason and they are a beautiful car when done right.
Also they are getting a rare breed of car these days so its nice to be different.

I got £4500 for a standard FC in superb condition 2 years ago and i would expect £6K is certainly achieveable if someone sets their heart on having your car. Better to try and sell the car as it is.  You try getting £6k for parts on your car and i think you might come away with a big hole in your pocket.

Lets not encourage people to part a totally decent car when we should be encourageing them to keep it. We have a ever decreasing number of Rx7\'s, so lets preserve what we have and enjoy them.  When we go into the business of our project cars we know full well they will cost far far more than what they are worth, better to see our cars on the road to spread the rotary image.

Completely agree with you, fc\'s are brilliant cars, but most people will probably see them as inferior. So to get decent money for an fc you\'ll have to find someone looking for that particular car/spec which could take a while.

Correct as that is, there\'re only a few people out there who know that, hence his car is appealing to very small market.

Good luck with the car dude, personally if I was you, I\'d keep it.
