Standard clutch, how much \'n where from

My clutch is starting to slip more often now, and my exedy hyper single is still on back order:mad:

Think im gonna have to stick a standard one in for rotorstock if i want some decent times, how much does a standard one go for? or can i use a decent 2nd hand one if any are about (or is that a no go)?

As its only going to be used for short time I want to get it done very cheaply, real shame i cant get the exedy on there.

Any suggestions?

I was quoted, £180 for the clutch and 4-5 hours labour at £25 per hour. all + vat. Not much change out of £400....

thanks for that, bit too much just for one weekend me-thinks,oh well at least i have an excuse if i get a bad time! Slippage is mainly in 4th and 5th so may not affect times too much, just hope it holds out for drive home

Definately getting the exedy, just looking for a short term solution for the 1/4 mile

They were meant to be back in stock mid May..... maybe if it comes this week and i have next week and the trip to stratford to bed it in...think thats a bit hopeful tho

Hiya,

As an Exedy distributor l rung them today to check if they could do anything for you, but sadly the story of your Hyper single is true, they are all out of all types RX clutches till this next shipment comes in and most of those are sold !

Looks like they are becoming a victim of their own success with our cars !!!.

Personaly l would just fit a centre plate to get you out of trouble for now till your Hyper arrives.

I put the order a good 6-7 weeks ago now so im hoping mine is one of the ones that are already sold

Thats good idea with the centre plate, will have a ring round tomorrow and see what I can sort out, thanks for part number, is there any you dont know?

Do you know when the next shipment is due in, is it still in May or has it slipped a bit
