Went to Elsecar Heritage Centre today just for a lil\' outing. Its just south of Barnsley, near the M1. Various toddler-friendly shops, nice cafe, old railway engines (Fitzwilliam family created the station on a dead end track to take their estate workers on outings), antique centre and crafts.

Anyway, you don\'t want to know all that!. Gus was wearing his new boots.
Brand new wheels on the offside, refurbed wheels on the nearside.

Daddy, Daddy, see the Red Velour in that lovely car..........No child, it\'s Sooo outdated.

Hmm???? thinking as well......might have an avatar like Ian:Giggle

only difference is, I had the photograph my only good wheel for my avatar!

That must be the cleanest 1st gen in the country Dave, gorgeous looking motor!
The wheels make it look factory fresh as well.
I\'d give my right one for a car like that!

looks g8 dave.
Refurbed wheels are on passenger side? How do i know,there\'s a red dot on the rim of the front wheel on drivers side which would\'nt be there on refurbed wheels.
Another case solved.
A credit to u dave, the car looks immaculate apart from that \'midgey\' you murdered on ur front number plate.
Bet u zoom into ur photo\'s now!

But your work on the Black one will make a better smarter machine Ian. My underside is good, but not show stopping by any means. I think yours will end up the best as I don\'t plan to do more that hold Gus as he is.

a different thing though...
original condition or restored??
What would you rather have?
it\'s a whole new debate!!
If I could buy a 1st gen in new condition or nearly new cond. as we did back in the 80\'s, I wouldn\'t bother restoring one.
Unfortunately, I can\'t so the only way to get one is the restore one myself.
The only minters are with enthusiasts like yourself who have no intention of selling them.
How many do we ever see come up for sale that are genuinely, low milage, low owner, mint condtion, unrestored cars.
Not many.
