Or get a huge MSD one and do it properly :) not quite sure how good the twinspark is, but its better than OEM, doesn\'t seem big enough to amplify the spark much, check out the size of the MSDs for comparison!

I know many engine builders that wont use them...saying they are just a gimmick

I wouldn\'t say it was a gimmick, as you can tell the difference compared to stock ignition. However there are other more powerful ( and expensive!) options out there.

This is why I am going to get a custom ignition system set up, I think all the twinspark does is just spark again with the same weak spark.

Which one of these 2 solutions will allow a massive amplification of power to the plugs (also note wire thickness!)

HKS twin power top right:

MSD in red on the right (its the smallest and cheapest one I think they do)

Given the way the twin spark is wired up - I think it just provides a higher local current into the stock coil packs compared to the stock igniter - it uses the signal from the stock igniter and piggy backs on it.

It certainly isn\'t a high voltage CDI system.

There isn\'t a great deal wrong with the stock system - but it can be improved on.  The igniter circuits are quite dated and improvements can be made still using the stock coils (on the FC the coils are excellent).
