Is there much interest for full or just rear bolt in cages for the fc?

Im looking round for something but cant decide between full or just rear, seen the group buy available with nickson motorsport but its a bit too much for my linking.  Is anyone else just after a cheap and cheerful cage?

lol

Nick did my cage for the fd and his work is top notch. Quite pricey but worth it.

We are starting to make our own cages....so would happily do a group buy on fitted cages for the FC.  They will all conform to the MSA regs and come with an MSA certificate.

Cage would be £605 + VAT
Fitting would be between £1200 for Mig welded or £1500 for Tig welded. +VAT
Seam Welding is £450 + VAT

This will be for a multipoint cage.

If you need the sound-deadening stripping we can do this too. £190 + VAT.

I will offer a 10% discount if you can put together a group of 3 or more.

Hopefully Mr Matthews will be able to clarify the quality of our cages, when he picks his up on Monday :)

Don\'t forget to add on the cost of proper harnesses, fixed seats and all the harness fixing points as well as the cage padding onto the bill...

Try looking here:

Good value for money for the cage itself.
Fitting is never cheap though, if its done properly - VERY labour intensive!

Hence the reason im looking at bolt ins

Generally you dont just bolt in a \'bolt in\' cage.
You still have to weld in the footplates and supporting box sections, etc.
Not as much welding as starting from scratch, though, I would agree.:)

Yep thats cheap and good value :) not only will it save your life if you have the correct seats and harnesses to go with it, but also think of it as an ultimate strut brace for the car :)

would you wear a cheap helmet?

If you want a bolt in then we can do that too. I won\'t do dash dodgers though. I don\'t want squished heads on my conscience!!

Yes, and I do :p (to be fair, it\'s very rarely used, and I don\'t do competitive motorsport, so I\'m never in the position to justify it)

I\'d not scrounge on a cage though - no bolt in\'s for me, when one is done it\'ll be a proper welded in one.
