its the time of year for insurance.
my details: 30 years old, 4yr ncb, parked in quiet town on driveway, alarm, all mods declared, clean license 10+ yrs.

my renewal with sky is £466 down from £500 last year (ONLY £34 cheaper)

rang a few places peter best (no can do), footman james (no can do) then put me through to call connection(?) who said best place would be A-plan who said no can do either and to go back to sky.

so what are other people my age paying?
found jono paid about same last year, sadgoth (wheres he gone?) paid £375 2 yrs ago on a higher modded fc (he is older and wider than me though!)
grinder pays under £200 for a modded fc (not sure how modded it is)

£466 seems ok i guess compared to my gal (same details as me) on a stock 1.4 micra is paying about £230 but compared to grinders quote, seem bit :spank

not many mods on mine to be honest .. only really an air filter etc..

PB said that the price goes up with performance mods - not ones that make it look nice

so in theory i could slap on a £1000 body kit with no difference in premium as it doenst make it faster

not sure what happens when i change the exhaust over though :( ?

only thing is - i was 33 when i insured it , 2nd car , limited to 1500 miles and with no break down ( that took about £30 a year off by itself )

that is really good! esp with no ncb!
will give it a shot, though in past once you get through to the \'cheapest\' price and you confirm over the phone, they give you a good spanking for all the mods :(

just spoke to swinton. funny how they sponsor on drift cars but when they hear your car might go on track they say they wont insure it  they sponsor drift cars wtf

Just got my renewal through £680 with all mods declared and agreed valuation. Will give sky a ring and see if they can do any better but i think thats not bad

gocompare, out of the 121 companies they have on there, only 1 was able to give me a quote of £700. the others wouldnt give a quote due to modifications :(

looks like Marker study via sky (£466) and via Adrian flux (£464) is best bet :)
thanks for your input guys.
still got another week & half til insurance expires, though thinking is it worth insuring it as its not drivable?

I\'m with Adrian Flux and they quoted my £865 with Highways Insurance. That\'s with 5 years protected ncb and I am about 30 years old (29)! It\'s too expensive for me, but £466 is way so much cheaper than I would thought of for an insurance on a RX-7. It\'s very good qoute though.
