Where\'d u get these mirrors?

the arms are different you have to use Oz one\'s if you want to actualy use them!

in the parts catalogue you sent me, it shows the arms available as a separate part... if the bodies are the same and the lenses are flat, wouldn\'t you just be able to buy the arms to the Aussie spec?
I can understand the arms being different to give the mirrors the correct angle, depending where the driver was sitting but surely the bodies must be the same.
If all the electrics are in the bodies, the arms should be quite a bit cheaper.
There\'s a plentiful supply of these mirrors in the US if you could get the arms.

yep,i\'ve looked at the US catalogue,i\'m sure the housings would\'nt be any different,but from what marks saying the arms are different,i don\'t know if the lenses are different.
It would be cheaper to buy the mirrors whole rather than buying & trying to source the parts separately.If i did that i\'d still need the part nos for OZ spec arms & maybe lenses.
If i was God i\'d standardise everything,all drive on same side,all use 3 pin plugs & all use same currency,simple!!!

i\'m trying to remember now, im pretty sure they come in 3 parts, not sure about the interchangability with the US, i  didnt have too much trouble getting them from Oz just say you accept liablity if they get broken and get 2 sets

either that or check out Bish\'s s3 sure he used cheap after market jobbies

Just asked again on ausrotary a guy breaking a s3 if he\'ll send to UK.

Fingers crossed i may have some 1985 leccy mirrors lined up in oz,2nd hand off a scrapper on ausrotary.
He wants paying in oz dollars what\'s the best way to do this,maybe paypal?
 
Given up trying to get new ones from mazda UK,explained to em countless times the mirrors i need are in oz & not fitted on uk models.
They keep coming back,give us ur vin/chassis no & we\'ll get the correct mirrors for your uk registered car,G8,so i\'d end up with brand new cricket bats hanging off the doors which i\'m trying to get rid of!
I\'ve given them pics & asked them to contact mazda dealers in OZ for the mirrors,but oh no,can\'t do that,everything has to go through mazda uk,give us ur vin/chassis nos,argh!
Me thinks they dont want an OZ dealer getting the money.

i dare say there are but without being funny i remember what a mare they were to fit together as the wiring is so short so i dont really want to pull them apart, i will have a look later if there is anything stamp on the outside though

Grrrr....my mirrors were, like the rest of the car, simply beaaaauuutiful.....until this blasted thread.

i would think we didn\'t get them here becasue they dont fold in H&S again!
