You\'re right - if you went with a bridge port, it\'s almost like you\'d have to leave some material for the corner seals to run on, sort of like a bridge... ;)

Quote from: lee mills;668286I run a full bridge and have no problems on the road with it but i would say with the info youve put up to go for a large streetport should be more than sufficient for your needs

hi lee im going for a bridge port soon who done yours and how do you find it spooling your turbo?

Thats crazy talk, I thought rotaries ran on magic :rollinif you check out Dragon\'s drift car thread it seem you don\'t even need to run rotor housings :rollin

overboost

Slightly off topic, what sort of redline can the engine safely run with a large street port?

Mine is still restricted at 7500rpm and I am semi-dissappointed.

overboost

And yes, large street port with a decent sized turbo is lovely both on road and on track.

A rotary engine doesn\'t produce a lot of torque even with a big single, so a Exedy hyper single clutch should do ok for a 400whp car.

BlitzBoy

Depends on what you regard as not a lot of torque, I produce approx 330lbs of torque at 1.2BAR.
On higher boost even my twin plate was not holding and was slipping with new plates.
But a good single plate (not organic) should be able to hold 400whp, its when you go over 450whp that things get tricky in the clutch department.

I would say 8.5K rpm is safe if all the internals are working correctly

Would the BNR turbos have enough puff to keep pulling at 8,500 rpm when running non-sequential on a large streetport?
Single Turbo time!

SiH

It was recommended by the Old Dude who did my porting that I\'d be able to run a limit of just over 8k - that\'s with a reasonably sized \'street\' port.

You should always change up gear just after your power peak curve starts to dip.

When you get it mapped and dynoed then you can see your power curve on the graph  , then you can see where you should change gear
So eg if you hit peak power at 7.3K rpm and it holds till 7.9k then starts falling away quite rapidily then you would change up at 8k
