Brake leakage

Good news Mazda still have master cylinders and repair kits in stock, bad news is they are £200 and £100, I have ordered a new one and it should be here Thursday.......oh happy days

Any chance of part Nos Dibs - when they arrive - only for future.

I think the old b series pick-up had the same cylinder, will find out tomorrow.

Just picked up master cylinder from Mazda.

  David, Part No FA 66-43-400    cost £173.37 + vat.

I got a 15% discount so I paid £173.15 inc vat.

 Now all I have to do is fit it..........out come the axle stands again.............

wow in nz you can get new (copys) for about $70nz about £30

Hi Stu
 The discount came about because a dealer friend ordered it for me. Its all fitted now and brakes are working perfect.
  I did not bother with the repair kit, just went for a new master.

Cool.[ mine was done 2005,just the repair kit]
Seems to be a common problem on fb\'s that the rear inside faces of the brake discs corrode.

Yer I got new front discs, but when I went to fit them and took the cap off over the castle nut the grease was in such good condition I did not want to disturb the bearings, so I just cleaned the old ones up with a wire brush as they were in good nick, the rear ones cleaned up ok aswell.
