Quote from: rotaryheaven;665145Hi Nell welcome to the forum, im also new myself. I have to say the members on here are very helpful, if your looking for some aftermarket lights it may be worth talking to L18M on here as he is very helpful on parts from japan :). Thats a lovely supra, does sit very nice on those rims. Good luck in finding your rex :D

Thanks :)

I will message L18M, cheers for the advice.

Quote from: Clarky;665157Welome to the club Nell, Yes Super 7 is great, nice to have another member in East Sussex.
So much info in this club, all here to give help and advise!

Cool, where in East Sussex are you?  I\'m in Heathfield.

Quote from: karl_tate;665174your supra looks very nice and the pics are cool as well. im sure the rex will be in safe hands and not get egay tat stuck on hahaha.

just make sure you get yourself a decent one, i know, every one says that, but a poor example is just going to give you soooo many headaches with problems not to mention costs......

what kind of price is the insurance coming out at??

c-west light are sweet, but i would say that :rollin

Ooh yeah it does freak me out a little, thinking about buying one that might go wrong on me, like a previous TT Supra did, spent thousands on it and it still wasn\'t right.  I think I have found a decent one, plus I will only do around 4 - 5k per year.  Don\'t worry about me sticking crappy big Veilside spoilers on and cheap wheels, I have taste :p

Quote from: AMH;665199Hi Nell,

Welcome to MRC - we need more girls! :wave

Nice photos - both the car and the location are stunning. Where was the first pic taken?

Thanks :)  The first picture was taken at a local hotel, called \'Buxted Park Hotel\'  I just drove on to their lawn :D

Clarky

Lead me not into temptation, I can find it myself...
But i can always do with some help now due to, my advancing years!

Nell

Well I\'m going to view Frankie\'s car tomorrow, so I\'ll update if I buy it :D  Need something to take my mind off my Supra being driven away and taken to France tomorrow :(

Anyone know where I can get the facelift front bumper lights at a good price?

ad4m1

frankies car the one in harrow rite? u mite wanna visit jits cave if its close lol

FEED Addict

Welcome to MRC Nell, lovin the Supra!

If your looking for C-west lights and planning on doing night driving the first thing you will need to do is change the existing lamps (they are basically like fog lights and only light up about 4 feet infront of the car).

If this is the route you go you may like to check the link below as it has a couple of pics of how i got around this problem.

Nell

I sold my Supra yesterday, which was horrible :(  Especially as they were going the same direction so were behind me on the Motorway!!  It made me feel better to drive home in my new RX-7 (Frankie\'s) :D:D:D  Lovely car, clearly well looked after by Frankie, loads of history etc.

What a different driving experience to the Supra!!  Completely different power delivery, different handling, however it doesn\'t feel as big and safe and smooth as the Supra, it feels like a crazy go kart lol.  Shame it was raining so bad, didn\'t really get to test it.

Loads to learn still about the best way to drive it.  Frankie did tell me that I need to wait for figures to get to a certain point on the Apexi commander, however I\'ve forgotten lol, is it the same for all RX-7\'s pretty much, or is it totally different depending on how they\'ve been mapped or whatever?

karl_tate

so where are the pics :spank

just the same way you should treat any car from cold really, dont let it sit idling for ages, just take it easy on the revs and dont get into boost until its all nice and warm.

hope you have fun with it.

funny coincidence - 2 black rx7s got sold in harrow yesterday and both went to sussex.

Nell

Spent a few hours cleaning it today, paint work isn\'t very good, which I\'ll sort at some point.

Got few things planned already :D  New front bumper, maybe a Burnout front, or a 99 spec bumper, FMIC, uprate the brakes and possibly change the exhaust.

Can someone tell me what the Blitz Nur Spec sounds like on an RX, I had one on the Supra fully decatted which sounded quite nice.  Not sure if I\'m keen on the Racing beat it currently has, it\'s extremely loud when I put my foot down,  but think the Nur Spec may sound better and I don\'t like the look of the tailpipe it has now.  It pops and flames with the current exhaust, would it still do this with the Nur Spec?

lee mills

Nice looking car
blitz nurspec is loud as hell will do your head in after a while trust me:Thumbsup!

Nik da Greek

As Lee says, if you don\'t still have the cat or a silenced mid-pipe, a Nur-Spec on an FD will be very loud. I had one when my cat was still on and it wasn\'t too bad, but still louder than my de-cat ARC system is now :rollin

The Racing Beat exhaust on there now is pretty loud though, it pops quite a bit too, I just don\'t like the tail pipe! It\'s pretty black too where it has flamed a lot.

I need to get 99 spec front bumper lights, should I just get the ones on eBay for £90?

Nik da Greek

If a Racing Beat zorst seems pretty loud, I\'d advise not going for a Nur Spec in that case, the RB is generally considered one of the more civilised and quiet FD exhausts!

Dunno about the lights personally, never had a modern enough bumper to use them. Sorry

FD3S Efini

nice looking FD maybe you have seen me in the east sussex area (hastings) as im often down there....im thinking a meet is in order for us southeners lol

racing beat or other decent silenced midpipe will calm the noise then you can get any style tailpipe you want!
