There seems to be a scare going round the classic car clubs about the formulation of antifreeze being changed on the quiet and the new stuff eating gaskets in old cars. Heard it from a mate with an Alvis

 See:  http://www.rrbew.co.uk/Pdfs/Derek%20Harris%20Antifreeze%202009%20V8.pdf

Can anyone add anything on this and advise if older rotaries are affected ??

Is this old news ??

Used to be the case that a Glycol based antifreeze was the correct one, so as stated in green or blue was the correct stuff.

It was the case of the halfords red being the cheaper and not suitable stuff !
