i currently am running without a heater matrix as it was leaking so i blocked it off but it\'s freezing out there at the min and i have to change it back

does anyone know if one out of a mx5 or similar will fit? so i can buy something brand new instead of second hand to put in it

cheers mike

I\'ve got one in the shed from a 94 FD.

Looking at the threads and from the experience I had with mine the best way is to remove the dash and then swap out the heater assembly. It is supposed to be possible without pulling the dash out but it must be a serious squeeze.

Also I had some serious problems getting the pipes off in the engine bay. They refused to budge and had to be cut off. Didn\'t matter for me because the matrix has been removed from the heater circuit.

Also try Carl and see what a new one will cost, may not be much different to other mazda ones !

Rough core Dimensions are 160 x 30 x 180.

Looking at it the whole heater system has to come out to get to the matrix because it slide out of the assembly on the firewall side.

I would probably want £50 posted for the matrix. Looks in very good condition really.
